Terms of Service

Last updated 5 September 2026

These Terms govern your use of Weathervane, the order and stock tracking service for merchants selling over Instagram conversations. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. Weathervane is operated from Kochi, Kerala, India.

The service

Weathervane helps small businesses identify orders inside their Instagram conversations and keep their stock counts accurate across sales channels. It is a tool used by merchants to run their own business; we do not sell to or transact with a merchant's customers directly.

Accounts

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. You must provide accurate information and be authorised to act for the business you represent.

Acceptable use

• Use Weathervane only for lawful business communication with your own customers.
• Do not send spam, or use the service to harass or deceive recipients.
• Comply with the rules of any connected platform, including Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service.

Connected accounts

You are responsible for the messaging accounts you connect and the messages sent through them. Weathervane is not affiliated with Meta; Instagram is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.

Automated order suggestions

Weathervane uses automated language processing to propose order details from a conversation. This is a suggestion, not a final record — you review and confirm every order, and can edit or reject anything the system proposes.

Availability

We work to keep Weathervane available and reliable, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties. We may modify or discontinue features over time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Weathervane is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or business arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You may stop using Weathervane and request deletion of your data at any time — see our Data Deletion page. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, with jurisdiction in Kerala.

Changes

If we change these Terms we will update the date at the top, and for a significant change we will tell merchants by email before it takes effect.
